A Vessel - The I See You® Candle

A Vessel - The I See You® Candle

As two sisters who are partners in business, we know that this journey of becoming an entrepreneur can be somewhat isolating and a lonely journey without support.

Whether it's leaning on each other or reaching out to others, we believe this is a vital piece of the puzzle when launching a new company.

We all need community, people who will push us forward, be our cheerleaders AND critics.

YES, we need critics because we don’t always need people who see things the way we do. People who have a difference of opinions can teach us just as much as those who agree with us.

WHY? Because if we all had the same ideas, thoughts, and opinions it’d be a little boring, don’t you think?

In a Forbes article by Dan Schawbel, Brené Brown, author to four, #1 New York Times Best-Seller books is quoted to say:

“If we are going to change what is happening in a meaningful way we’re going to need to intentionally be with people who are different from us. We’re going to have to sign up and join, and take a seat at the table. We’re going to have to learn how to listen, have hard conversations, look for joy, share pain, and be more curious than defensive, all while seeking moments of togetherness.”

It is important to support one another, especially other women who are embarking on this entrepreneurial journey. We believe we are stronger when we work together and support one another.

And let’s be honest, we don’t always know what we don’t know. Am I right?

And we have NO problem admitting this.

In some ways, this can be a benefit when embarking on a new journey, because there’s no point of reference to hinder us, but in the same breath, there are unknowns that can make the navigation of unfamiliar territory treacherous.

In a short period of time, we have been blessed to be surrounded by a handful of strong, intelligent, passionate and driven women, who were all initially brought into our lives because of the I See You® Candle.
i see you candle

Yes, a simple birthday candle and bow gift topper has done just that - bring us together!

Especially, bring us WOMEN together!

You never know what the vessel will be that will brings someone into your life, but we are open to it.

Our product, I See You® Candle, is our current vessel, but we are fully aware of it as part of a movement.

The I See You® Candle is about seeing people, being seen and not hesitating to share this with each other.

What’s even more inspiring for us is when we sat back and looked at the last three months, the community of women we are becoming surrounded by in such a small period of time is exciting.

We all come from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, religions and locations across the nation, yet we are all finding each other and have an equally yoked mission: to support each other and make a difference in this world!

We are honored to be surrounded by such amazing company!

Ultimately, as we’ve put ourselves out there, we’ve been excited to find all the programs, conferences, and networking events that support this and are focused on creating women supported communities and workplaces.

We were inspired by the Texas Conference for Women that has a “mission to promote, communicate and amplify the influence of women in the workplace and beyond.”

Does it get any better than that? We think not!!!

Women from around the country, women in positions of power, every day women, all speaking and uplifting each other for the greater good.

This conference and TARGET are even giving the opportunity to fellow female entrepreneurs to tell their story as part of Target’s Storyteller Contest and possibly be chosen to receive a free pair of tickets to the conference, as well as be featured on the main stage during the conference.

You know us girls had to share our story and throw our hat into the mix. Time will tell, but till then we’ll keep building our community of women warriors!

If you haven't already purchased an I See You® Candle - now's the time!
